Jun 22 2023

Honey has been used for many years and is a great source of treatment for animals. Although too much can be harmful.

Can cats eat honey? Yes, indeed providing it is liquid or crystalized form.

Felines can handle a lick of honey. However consuming it in large portions will overstress their digestive system. This may lead to gagging, regurgitation, vomiting and diarrhoea.

Propolis is the protective substance gathered and used by bees to disinfect and protect their hives.

I use Forever Living Aloe Propolis Crème on my pets. It helps with soars and scrapes since Aloe Vera Gel and Bee Propolis Extract combined with soothing herbs, Vitamin A & E, powerful moisturizer to nourish and promote healthy looking skin.

A great honey is Manuka honey also know as tea tree where in Australia and New Zealand. The bees that pollinate the native leptospermum scoparium bush. This honey can treat wound infections and other conditions.

The Meluka’s tea treat honey is infused with tea tree extract delivering the signature anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties of tea tree. Can be applied to burns, cuts or abrasions and cover appropriately to provide anti-bacterial protection and to stop air getting to the site for faster healing.

Other animals that benefit are large animals like horses and dogs. This treatment is cost-effective treatment option that is safe and effective.

Being a natural sweetener, honey is used as an anti-inflammatory antioxidant and antibacterial agent. This is why it is good for coughs, treating burns and promote wound healing.

These honeys support not only wound healing can also support the gut health, sooths sore throats, useful for antibiotic resistant infections. Natural sweetener and can help with decreasing pain.

What would we do if we did not have our BEES.
